House rendering in Swindon

Rendering after pebbledash or render removal — silicone, monocouche or traditional. Done by the same team that prepped the wall.

Most house rendering jobs we do in Swindon follow on from pebbledash removalor render removal. The wall comes off, the substrate gets sorted, and a fresh modern finish goes on. Doing both phases with one team means there's no gap, no second-quote surprise, and no buck-passing if anything needs putting right.

The three render systems we use

Silicone render

The current modern default. A two-coat system with a base coat and a coloured topcoat, applied over a mesh-reinforced backing. Self-cleaning, flexible, breathable. Comes in dozens of colours and several textures. Best fit for the majority of Swindon homes.

Monocouche render

A one-coat, through-coloured system. Sprayed or hand-applied, then scraped or floated to a chosen finish. Colour goes all the way through, so chips don't show a different colour underneath. Strong, fast to install, slightly less flexible than silicone.

Traditional sand and cement

The classic two-coat render, painted to colour. Cheaper upfront, but needs repainting every 5–10 years and isn't as breathable as the modern systems. Good fit for matching existing detailing on period properties.

Frequently asked questions

Which render finish is best?+

For most Swindon homes, silicone render is the modern default — flexible, breathable, low maintenance. Monocouche is a strong alternative if you want a one-coat through-coloured finish. Traditional sand and cement still has its place on older properties where it matches the original detailing.

How long does house rendering take?+

After substrate prep, a full-house silicone render system typically takes 7–14 days on a 3-bed semi, weather depending. Monocouche is similar.

Will rendering hide existing problems?+

It can, but it shouldn't. Render over a damp wall traps the moisture. Render over loose brick eventually cracks. We always sort the substrate first.
